Russ Miller is a big talent and creative force currently living in Rapid City, SD but you can find his artwork in different parts of the world on display. In fact, coming up on September 13th will be a Russ Miller gallery of artwork on display in Italy at the Anno Zero Underground Art Studio 2.0! Beauty in the Chaos
Russ Miller’s art, in any modality, is truly unique to who Russ is as a person and the vision that he is bringing from his mind’s eye into the world. “Art for the sake of art” is something that I have said about the creation’s of Russ Miller since our meeting because that is what he truly does. Great art doesn’t have to be understood; the key to what makes truly great art is the ability to create feelings in the people beholding the art. If it makes people FEEL something, then it fulfills the purpose.
Russ Miller’s artwork hits the mark! The photography holds unique subjects and interesting lighting creating a world a questions. His canvas paintings and even his paintings on cardboard hold brilliant abstract artwork with vibrant colors; each has their own beautiful chaos and overall “feeling.”
Russ Miller’s music is something out of this world, as well. The music of 13 Aliens is self-described as “Sci-fi punk slop alien cowboys from outer space.” The instrumentals are very punk rock theatrical and sometimes dissonant, breaking into what may be perceived as complete audio anarchy. It’s a whole other experience to be there for the live performances, as well! Russ Miller’s live performance takes all the art and creates an immersive experience that leaves the crowd absolutely stunned.
