For anyone living in the beautiful Black Hills, you definitely know about the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. (This year is the 80th!) But how much do you know about what there is to find during the rest of the year?
Richelle Bruch and Veronica Grosek are spearheading a movement called “More To Sturgis” and it’s all about showcasing the many wonderful places hidden in Sturgis. If you go to the More To Sturgis Facebook page, there are videos, pictures, features, and information to find. 
The Country Twins listeners in the tri-state region had the opportunity to hear what these two lovely ladies had to say last week live on-air. Since we know many people missed it, you can find the audio at the top of this page.

The Chamber of Commerce does a great job of trying to help out the businesses in the area and offer a great many perks. (This is true in many towns/cities!) So, if you check out the Chamber Website, there will be a list of businesses included. I’ll bet you will be pleasantly surprised by the number of fantastic businesses in the area!

The Bottom Line

Sturgis has so much to offer – and that is 365 days a year! Help us build up our communities by sharing the content about what there is to offer. Shop in your community to keep your money local. But, if a road trip is in order, check out the small businesses where you’re going.

You can feel good about supporting the local economy. You can feel great about supporting the dreams and hard-work of your fellow man. Create stability in the local economy that can provide a buffer in the event of another catastrophe. (God forbid!)
