And So It Begins…

March 9th marks the first event in a brand new series in Belle Fourche, SD!! Here’s the thing: People are craving relevancy in their music. The fact is, we probably won’t find what is missing by listening to the radio.
So then how are people supposed to find new artists and sounds? The answer is by coming out to events and supporting artists on the come-up. People often forget that popularity comes from being seen; but it’s the public who holds the power to put the music they want into the spotlight. So that’s what this is.

Making An Entrance

If you’re in the Black Hills, be sure to get to The Outlaw by 9:00 pm! The night will begin with some games and introductions before starting the live music off with the super talented, Bud Holly of Dakota South Records. There’s a reason this dude is going first – there isn’t a crowd he can’t get moving! The first performance is just as important as the last one – we want everyone to show up for the whole shebang!

There’s definitely a reason for the title March Madness – even folks with no love for rap or hip hop will have a reason to get down with they bad selves! Check out the info and links below to find out more on the night’s entertainment!

Bud Holly

Bud HollyBud Holly was raised in South Dakota but his musical influences include some of the best lyricists of our time. He’s been performing for some time now and has shared the stage with a few big name artists – Bud Holly was even on tour with Afroman! Now signed with Dakota South Records, his presence on stage contains a natural charisma that almost compels the crowd to get into the music. His music is funky, and the performance is always fresh!

Twan

twanTwan is an artist with a chill vibe west coast feel to the music. It’s apparent he was heavily influenced by the 90’s hip hop scene. It makes sense though, considering Twan has always had a natural talent when it came to music. After learning keyboard at age 6 he began rapping by age thirteen. Twan went on to learn how to play eight more instruments throughout his school career and even now continues to thrive in his craft.

Static Jack

static jackStatic Jack is what you didn’t know you were missing! His musical style is some unique mashup of country, rock, and rap. The vocals are somewhat reminiscent of early 90s rock music. The lyrical flow is flawless though. There’s always meaning and intention behind the words, and the delivery will leave you in awe!

Frozolid

frozolidFrozolid is quickly becoming well known throughout South Dakota and Wyoming. He was a recurring champion during the summer’s Rapper’s Delight events in Spearfish, SD. Frozolid even recently headlined the February Rapper’s Delight event in Casper, Wy!
Working hard on his music since ten years of age, Frozolid has a quick and wicked tongue and an apparent heavy influence from some underground heavy hitters like Tech N9ne and ICP.

RIP Soldiers

rip soldiersHalf Dead and Guardian Angel are an unstoppable force when they’re together on stage. Known as RIP Soldiers, the husband and wife pair have been traveling to perform their music for years. They have shared the stage with Kung Fu Vampire and Liquid Assassin on the Love Bites tour, Esham, MC Magic, Zig Zag, and Indigenous Peoples. They were even invited to perform in Ottowa, IL to open for Twista. March 9th will mark their first performance in Belle Fourche – Be Ready!
