The Story

Half Dead and Guardian Angel come from two vastly different backgrounds, but found each other back in 2010 in Casper, WY. They began making music together, utilizing their individual skills to make music that was unique to who they were not only as artists but as a pair. They chose the name RIP Soldiers, initially, in an effort to make a name that stand for building lasting legacy. But, these days the pair is known by their individual stage names, Half Dead and Guardian Angel.

Since 2010, the duo have been known to travel all over with their music together. Half Dead and Guardian Angel have been featured on shows with Esham, MC Magic, Zig Zag, Scum, Liquid Assassin, Kung Fu Vampire, Whitney Peyton, Mr. Capone-E, and more. They even traveled to Ottowa, IL on an invitation to open for Twista.

Then from 2018 through 2019, the couple spent summers in the Black Hills running the most badass underground events company (Dirty DAHG Productions) before taking a short hiatus from music during covid to focus on family. In 2024, the pair began traveling and performing again and haven’t stopped since! Throughout the last year, Half Dead & Guardian Angel have been cooking up new music and traveling to perform in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, South Dakota, and more. They’ve shared the stage with heavy hitters like Rittz. There were high energy and high octane performance nights with SwiZzy B, and another couple banger events with Whitney Peyton. Then there was Rappin The Rivers Music Festival with Filth & Foul, Lady Dice, LockSmith, Swollen Members, Truly Veda and more!

This year, the tour season kicks off in Montana on April 17th and 18th. After that, Half Dead & Guardian Angel will be performing across the midwest including co-headlining at this year’s Black Hills Hunger Fest and at Rappin The Rivers. Dates are filling up fast!
